We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented EHS Coordinator to oversee all aspects of environmental, health, and safety compliance within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and risk management principles. This role requires excellent communication skills, leadership abilities, and a commitment to fostering a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of facilities, equipment, and processes to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement.
- Coordinate with department managers and supervisors to ensure that EHS requirements are integrated into all aspects of operations.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on EHS policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses to determine root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to EHS activities, including incident reports, training records, and regulatory permits.
- Serve as a liaison with regulatory agencies, industry groups, and other stakeholders on EHS matters.
- Monitor emerging EHS trends, regulations, and technologies to recommend and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate in emergency response planning and serve as a member of the EHS committee.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in environmental, health, and safety roles, preferably in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local EHS regulations and standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Proven ability to develop and implement EHS programs and initiatives.
- Experience conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, and audits.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EHS management software.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
